I want to update grub version 0.97 to 2.0 so that it will automatically detect all the OSs.
Hello,
I m getting screen like this. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Pe...6-PnvC62VOpjlN So I want to upgrade version 0.97 to 2.0 permanently for my PC. I have 2 different Hard disks one has windows 7 other one has CentOS 6, so I have installed CentOS 7, After installing CentOS 7, this screen is appeared. So I want to update GNU GRUB version 0.97 to 2.0 permanently. So that I can get the grub menu for choosing Windows 7 or CentOS 7. |
CentOS 7 uses Grub2 by default so if you still have Grub Legacy, you didn't properly install Grub2 to the MBR during the installation. This is an MBR install wath windows 7, correct? Which drive is windows on, sda? How about CentOS, sdb? Might be easier to simply re-install CentOS and watch for an option as to where to install the bootloader. If you have a Legacy/MBR install of windows 7 and your CentOS is on sdb, the correct location would be /dev/sdo.
