Unhappy How to setup TP-LINK TL-WN725N USB Wi-Fi adapter in CentOS 7.6.1810

I bought a brand new notebook namely HP 14-ck0023tu and installed CentOS 7.6.1810 GNOME Desktop for dual boot with pre-installed Windows 10 Home 64 Bit.

CentOS 7.6.1810 cannot find internal Wi-Fi adapter,

Network controller [0280]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter [10ec:c821]
elripo recommended that CentOS 7.7 will solve this problem.
elripo recommended that I have to use external a USB Wi-Fi adapter instead.

I bought a TP-LINK TL-WN725N USB Wi-Fi adapter,

This notebook cannot use internet, so I used old Windows notebook to download from elrepo:

elrepo-release-7.0-3.el7.elrepo.noarch.rpm
Quote:
kmod-8188eu-4.1.4_6773.20130222-5.el7_6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
and saved into a USB drive, APACER.

In CentOS 7.6.1810 Terminal, I ran:

Quote:
[centos001@localhost APACER]$ sudo yum install elrepo-release-7.0-3.el7.elrepo.noarch.rpm
[centos001@localhost APACER]$ sudo yum install kmod-8188eu-4.1.4_6773.20130222-5.el7_6.elrepo.x86_64.rpm
[centos001@localhost ~]$ lsmod | grep 8188
8188eu 772812 0
[centos001@localhost ~]$ ip link show
3. wlp0s21f0u2:<BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc no queue state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether 50:3e:aa:8d:57:d7 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
Can you please teach me what to do next in order to connect Wi-Fi ?

You probably need to configure your interface for the network you are connecting to. Since it is a laptop, I would use the GUI tool for it. I don't know off hand where it is as I don't have GUIs on the CentOS hosts I admin. I would check the documentation that GNOME shipped with. It should tell you how to do it.

Out of interest, why? What gain are you getting from running Centos on a notebook other than the hassle you're presently having?

If you're only after a linux shell, then there is WSL in Windows 10 called bash.exe BUT it does not run on Windows Home so you would need to upgrade to Pro.
OR if you didn't want any additional cost then why not run a more desktop friendly OS such as Ubuntu Mate where these driver problems would probably be non-existent.
My recommendation is to use a desktop user-friendly OS.

@OP, check outputs of
Code:
nmcli dev show
nmcli link show
Check how many ports listed. If there is only 1, called eth0 or enoxxxx, your wifi is not detected. The rest is left to you as there are plenty of guides available.

But your netbook should also have a in-built wifi? Was it not detected when you installed the OS?

Edit : Google told me the issues centOS 7.4 + have for RTL8821CE module. But RTL8188EUS is pretty generic.

Because it is a choice of user. I have used it as my daily driver for ~4 years on 2 notebooks and a netbook. And still use it heavily on VMs..
