[SOLVED] Some noob questions about Moksha

[Solved] 1. Can I make a shortcut in a shelf such that when it is clicked it minimizes everything and shows the desktop ?
2. Can I use nemo as the default file manager ? If yes, how ? I have already tried installing nemo and running these commands

 xdg-mime default nemo.desktop inode

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons false

/directory application/x-gnome-saved-search

gsettings set org.nemo.desktop show-desktop-icons true

3. How can I make folders on desktop ? When I right click the desktop there is no option to paste

Hello there

1. pressing CTRL ALT D will show your desktop. You can also install moksha-module-desktop and load it in module section. The gadget will show on the shelf and you can click on it to show desktop
2. xdg-mime default nemo.desktop inode/directory
3. menu->settings->modules->files load desktop icons. Everything you place in /home/user/desktop dir will show on the desktop

Actually I tried running the xdg-mime command, it made no difference, whenever I open a folder from either the click menu or from the desktop it opens it in pacman file manager.

Also, I still don't know how to make shortcuts on desktop.

Can you also please tell me how do I make a clickable shortcut for any command like I could do in cinnamon ? I want to make a shortcut in the bottom right corner in the shelf for showing desktop. It makes me feel comfy. Thanks.

Oh, OK, now I understand what you need

Right click on any icon on you desktop, choose options, file manager settings. Under behavior tab change your default FM in entry to nemo in stead of pcmanfm.

I have to correct my info about module for desktop showing. The right package name is moksha-module-deskshow. Then follow the instructions I mentioned above. You will have a gadget on the shelf and after click your desktop will be shown
