when i launch conky with conky -c /path/to/conky.conf, the terminology window stays like this:

with a blinking cursor at the bottom. in the past, i have simply x-ed out of the window and gone on about my business. a simple enough fix since conky continues to run after disappearing for a second or so.
however, since @Sweater Fish Deluxe was kind enough to help me autolaunch that command at startup, the key binding for terminology doesn't work for the first time. i am able to launch from the menu and thereafter, the key binding works just fine. my guess is that this window is spinning in the background somewhere and the first launch fixes that.
i make no claim to be any kind of a conky expert. most of what i have in my conf file came from copying and pasting other examples that i was lucky enough to find. so i am just wondering if there is a quick fix for this or if anyone knows that that is just the way of things. thanks
