install does not complete even after 3 hours

hi I ran bodhi 6.0 ;ive and then tried to install onto my hard disk partition. (I chose something else since I have others OS on this disk)
The install did not complete even after 3 hours and I killed it. It was not hung since I could see some log updates.
But I could not see why it took so long? (btw I did have download updates selected)

Some kind of progress indicator would have helped but there is none. The message displayed was "detecting file system" it is only when i clicked on the disabled skip button the log showed up in a text box below.

Is this normal or is there a different way to do the install?
I usually simply unpack the iso and add a menu entry to my grub config. but I dont know the kernel params to pass

3 hours is a long time to install bodhi. What was in the log?

I have installed Bodhi 6.0 on a few laptops and never had the issue of 3hr installs. Maybe try it again without the "download updates" unselected.

Hi there

Try to avoid installing 3rd party stuff and do not update during the installing. You will be later after install...
