Eveytime I boot I get this "hs_err_pid6011.log" added to ~/ ? What is it and how to fix?

Everytime I boot this log file gets placed in my ~/ if I do nothing it just adds more and more copies. I am not sure if they are diffeent as the file is pretty dense and I do not know what any of it means.

I am pretty sure it has something to do with java...

I have ran sudo apt install java and stuff installed but it did not seem to help it. I am not sure when this file started turning up.

it's not the exact same error, but this page over at the cryptomator community has a similar one.

Turns out this is an error with shutdown not booting... basically when I hit "reboot" or "shutdown" it is killing the cryptomator process or something like that to early, so the app is not correctly closing and dismounting. It is basically just force closing the app to fast to something.

Is there anyway I can edit the "shutdown" and "reboot" menu item to run a script instead of doing what it normally does. I can not seem to see the menu items in /usr/share/applications I assume there is a .desktop file for these options as well but where are they?]

^ No.
You need to close that encrypted thing manually before you shut down or reboot.
Using a Java application for this really isn't a good idea. You should choose a Linux method that integrates into your system.

unfortunatly.. this is the only system I could get working. It has a command line to unmount and shut down.. so what I am trying to do is work out a wayt to replace the shutdown and reboot commands in the menu with ones that launch a script, that closes the app, and then waits and then issues the poweroff or reboot terminal commands.

I remember when you asked about this encryption thing in another thread; solutions abound, I can't believe a JAVA software is the only that works on Linux. So, try again, or be unfortunat.

I can't think of an appropriate metaphor here, but this is really the wrong way to go about things.
Fix your JAVA app, don't try to shoehorn your operating system into accomodating non-native software.
Or better, find a native Linux alternative.

As mentioned in another thread, I dont think you can change the behavior of the system menu entries easily (could be wrong). I think maybe you can remove them tho in settings, would have to explore....

But you can create your own desktop shortcuts. You could make one that Exec=unmount&&shutdown now, and another with Exec=unmount&&reboot. Then put them in your ibar etc.
