Driver issues with scanner solved
Hello there
I am an owner of Multifunction printer Samsung C480W which I chose because I knew it should have a Linux driver support. Everything worked fine in BL 4.x but I came across some troubles with BL 5.
Driver installation is OK but when I wanted to use a printer, it took many paper sheets and printed some weird random chars on it. After some research I found I had to remove the printer in CUPS web gui and re-add the printer back. Printer was solved.
Another issue appeared with scanner. Also my colleague told me about this issue. Xsane did not find the device nor other scan utilities. After hours and hours of googling I found a simple solution. Only this line is needed to execute:
sudo ln -sfr /usr/lib/sane/libsane-smfp* /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane
This is because of some new sane changes.
I hope this info can help users saving some time and nerves.
