I dunno, cuz I removed weather, it hasn't happened again. It used to happen almost daily. As I mentioned earlier, if it happens again, I'll try it. But I think problem already solved.

As I recall this problem also affected my taskbar, and like enigma9o7 none of my icons have disappeared even once since I removed weather from my shelf. I can live without the module, easier than I can live without icons so as enigma9o7 says I consider the problem solved. The one time I tried the series of commands given above they did restore my icons, but issuing those commands (or running them as a script) when needed is a lot more trouble than just not using weather.

100% Fixed. Hadn't even thought about this issue in months. Without forecast, no more disappearing icons whatsoever.
