Can I disable the trackpad in my Lenovo IdeaPad?

I keep hitting the trackkpad and moving the mouse. I'd like to disable it but maybe that has to be done in the BIOS. However, I'd still like my USB mouse to continue to operate.

I installed a program called flsynclient, it allows you do disable the track pad. I use an external mouse also.

flsynclient also allows you to change the settings on a track pad.

I disable my trackpad in ~/.e/e/applications/startup/startupcommands with
Code:
xinput --disable 13
To figure out the device number, just run
Code:
xinput
