Question Bodhi 5.0.0 Problem with installer: missing keyboard layout page

When running the installer I miss the page to choose a keyboard layout. This might lead to (non-US) people typing in a wrong password without knowing it or other unwanted mistakes. Did Bodhi staff hack ubiquity or is the latest version of ubiquity-gtk to blame? I think this is urgent and important for people outside the US and deserves to be solved asap.

Are you 100% sure? I seem to recall having to select english for language, then english US for keyboard layout, every single time I've installed. They were the defaults, but I'm pretty sure I had to select them.

Same here, but not this time. The wireless page that comes in certain cases is missing too.
There is a launchpad bug registered about it, seems they have a patch. Expecting an update for console-setup (ubiquity dependency) quite soon, but it will mean IMO a new Bodhi release iso.

I posted before I had read the release version was out. I'd only ever tried 4.5 and the 5.0beta/RC/RC2. So ignore my comment, maybe a problem in release version which I haven't ever installed.

There is an updated package console-setup in the repos, I've tested version console-setup 1.178ubuntu2.7 with ubiquity and all pages now appear. I used Bodhibuilder version 2.18.3 from bodhibuilder at sourceforge to respin the 5.0.0 iso without issues.

Yes Charles, you are right. I installed BL 5 yesterday on my NTB and there was no option for keyboard layout. It was surprising to me but I set it up later after installation when I apt dist-upgraded my system. The keyboard reconfigure settings asked me for a layout.

Stefan

EDIT: I also miss the xdg-user-dirs package as I mentioned several times. People are asking for default folders.

If you load the keyboard module it will save your settings to Moksha.

Thanks

I fixed the keyboard by editing the XKBLAYOUT line in /etc/default/keyboard

The folders were fixed using Stefans instructions:

sudo apt install xdg-user-dirs
sudo xdg-user-dirs-update
