BL5.0-64bit - How to install .DEB, please?

I'm trying to install easymp3gain-gtk2_0.5.0-2_amd64.deb,
but as soon as I start the installation, Gdebi is crashing (probably because gksu was abandoned in Ubuntu 18.04).

So, I cannot install any .DEB on a distribution based on Ubuntu 18.04.

How can I fix this, please?

sudo dpkg -i easymp3gain-gtk2_0.5.0-2_amd64.deb

EDIT: I use gdebi with BL 5 without any troubles

Yes, this is, how it's done using the terminal, but I'm used to double-click on the .DEB and it's supposed to be installed with Gdebi.

what's happening currently is Gdebit is started, it's checking for dependencies, but then, when I hit the Install button, Gdebi is just crashing.

This method doesn't work anymore in Ubuntu 18.04 or distributions based on that Ubuntu.

I would like to know how to fix this?

Lets start with reinstalling esudo

sudo apt update
sudo apt-get install --reinstall esudo

If did not help, try this

sudo nano /usr/share/applications/gdebi.desktop

change the item
Exec=gdebi-gtk %f
to
Exec=pkexec gdebi-gtk %f

CTRL x and Enter to save

Reinstalling esudo seems to help, but now, I'm trying to install "Open Visual Traceroute", but gDebi is telling me

Quote:
Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: gksu
What can I do now?

EDIT:

I just noticed, when I start eSudo, I can enter my password, but the Command field is not available.
I can see it, but I cannot enter anything in there.

I have no idea. Maybe obsolete package depends on sources which are not available.
