Bad news. Charles is gone.

It is really sad for me access this forum to communicate bad news.

Charles Van de Beek (aka Charles in the old Bodhi Linux forums) has passed away. He fought bravely against cancer during years, and he died a mere three months after the passing of his beloved and long time wife, whom was also very ill.

Many of us can remember his great contributions in the deleted Bodhi Linux forums, and even some posted here as Charles4809. He is also recognized as one of the contributors to the BodhiBuilder program.

May his family in Netherlands find peace at this terrible loss.

man i am so sad! He was a great friend and i knew he had been dealing with things - but did not realize that his wife too was ill and passed. A great loss for Bodhi and also myself. hopefully he is still tweaking his linux machines in the other world!

I am not sure you will believe me but I intended today in the evening post a question here if somebody is in touch with Charles. I was in touch with him via pm in old forum but I did not have any other way to contact him.

Very sad day for Bodhi Linux community. Nice, helpful and smart Bodhi Linux faithful member has gone
I am sending him greetings to heaven and deep sympathy to his family...

Štefan

Always there (from what I recall) to help on the old BL forums. Definitely sad news.

Come on! That's a little harsh.
