Where is the horizon of your imagination?

Posted 07-06-2009 at 12:36 AM by Shingoshi

Do you dream at arms length?
Do you dream only as far as you can throw?
Or do your dreams extend beyond the realm of boundaries?

Given that likely all of us here are deeply involved to some extent in the development of technology, to what extent do you advance with the technology around you? The question of concepts often arises, "what makes this thing valid? And in answering that question, we are most often divided into two distinct groups of reasoning. And I'm guessing by how we individually choose to answer that question, our reason for asking is revealed as much if not more than our desire to have the answer.

These are the two distinct positions of reasoning which will likely never find commonality:
1.) Validity derived from Conformance
2.) Validity...

How much do you engage in imagination about what Linux is fully capable of? Is Linux simply something that you use, and don't give much else thought to it? Have you ever wondered what a society driven by Linux or open-source would look like? Are you limited to thinking the other guys will always rule the world?

Are you content to be on the fringe of society, rather being a significant component of it? Do you marginalize Linux and open-source in general by thinking what can't be achieved,...
