So, a new issue with alps install xserver-meta :
patch: **** Can't open patch file ../xorg-server-1.18.2-wayland_190-1.patch : No such file or directory
Error occured in execution of /var/cache/alps/scripts/xorg-server.sh
Maybe you missed it. Which desktop environment are you building anyways? In case its mate then follow the above link. If its xfce then follow the following:
You are correct MensaWater. This patch is missing. Though its mentioned in the BLFS book but the link is not provided in the SVN version based on which this scripts is built. This patch command should have been commented but missed it. My bad.
Update:
This patch seems to have been merged upstream. So no longer needed. I updated the scripts. Please do:
sudo alps updatescripts
and then proceed with the rest of the installation

It works. Yet I can assure you that I followed all your scripts one by one, including sudo sed -i "s@patch -Np1@#patch -Np1@g" /var/cache/alps/scripts/xorg-server.sh.
Right now, alps install xfce-desktop-environment is running.
