only firefox has XFT enabled....

No matter how many threads I read or hours I try, I cannot get XFT enabled. ....I just cannot get XFT to work at all except for Firefox. I am using Arch Linux current, running Fluxbox 0.1.14-2, and gdkxft 1.5-1. GTK and QT apps all have jaggy text. I am not using any DE. XFT works fine in Slackware and Gentoo with the same system. Any help is appreciated.

Well I finally managed to get XFT fonts in all GTK2 apps, but what about the few GTK1 apps I use such as emelfm and sylpheed? is there a GTK2 replacement for them, or could someone tell me what I need to add to my .gtkrc file? Thanks!

Thunderbird and evolution are both way too bulky. Not good for pentium 2. And I found emelfm2, a GTK2 clone of emelfm. Thanks though
