Oblogout

Arch x86_64 Openbox

I am using Oblogout from Aur and Restart and Shutdown don't work.

In /etc/.oblogout

Code:
shutdown = shutdown -h now
restart = reboot
I tried changing like this...

Code:
shutdown = dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Shutdown
restart = dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest=org.freedesktop.Hal /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.SystemPowerManagement.Reboot
...but it still doesn't work.

The above are what I have in rc.xml and works there.

Does anyone know what will work in Oblogout?

I fixed this on my netbook by adding the following to sudoers -

I use nano as the editor thusly -

Code:
# EDITOR=nano visudo
Then add at the bottom

Code:
<user> ALL=NOPASSWD: /sbin/shutdown
<user> ALL=NOPASSWD: /sbin/reboot
Of course replace <user> with your user name.

Edit: I don't use oblogout anymore. I just put 'shutdown' and 'reboot' entries on my menu (using obmenu, of course)

Thanks.
Still doesn't work for me though.

Like you I have reboot and shutdown working perfectly well in menu and keyboard shortcuts and no reason to change really.

Thanks for your attention.

Did you put 'ck-launch-session' in your .xinitrc?

exec ck-lauch-session openbox
