For the life of me why Arch /windows dual boot not working?
I have dual booted windows with Redhat, Slackware, Debian and Ubuntu without any problems using the NT loader as the main loader with either grub or lilo as the secondary ie after i select linux form the NT loader it starts either grub or lilo depending on what i have installed at the time.
I have tried and tried without success to dual boot Arch and windows XP without success. The installation goes without a hitch. I use bootpart to create the bootsect.lnx file. When i select Arch from the NT boot loader it attempts to start linux but fails and pops up with a message which i dont have now.
Can someone with the experince pls give me some ponters as i wiould really like to try Arch. I have Compaq Presario PC with 2.8 ghz and 512 ram with two harddisk. The master for windows and the salve for linux. The master has two primary partitions the first (fat 32) stores some system files created by compaq and the second is an NTFS with windows on it. I currently dual boot windows and Ubuntu.
Thnx.
