Does Arch Linux Installer really need 160 MB RAM?

Hello. The Arch Linux Beginners Guide says (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/...inux_Installer) that the Arch Linux installer requires 160 MB RAM. Is this true and does it mean that it's impossible to install Arch on a computer with 128 MB RAM? Could be compensated with more swap? In case it could, how much swap? More than twice the amount of RAM? Thank you very much.

No.
Doesn't pay to read things too literally - my guess would be that is for the final system. The Arch installer is (or was last I used it) ncurses based. Wouldn't need anything like that much.
As for swap, just pick a number - on a small system try 500 Meg if you can afford the (disk) space.

Anyway, just try it - if it fails, nothing lost but a bit of time, and you will have have learnt something.

You could do it with with hardly any ram if you install one package at a time. But i think 96? mb can be used fine when you install with the "lowmem" option.
