I want to swich from Lubuntu to AntiX, because 32 Bit machines are not supported from April 2020. I started AntiX 19 from cd, which makes a good impression to me.
Unfortunatedly, the second HD is not mounted because I get an error message that I ve no Permissions and that I should check the ntfs-3g binary permissions. How to do that? It is mounted with lubuntu. it works with sudo searchmonkey in the terminal, but not automatically
can anybody help me out with that?
the actual OS of the computer is lubuntu 18.04 and the second hd, which is automouted correctly, has ntfs/exfat/hpfs.
With the livesystem of AntiX linux, the second hd is not automounted on account of missing of permissions.
When typing sudo searchmonky in the terminal, the second hd is recocnized with root permissions and I ve access to the files of the second hd. But my wish is that the second HD will be automounted.
Error message:
error opening read-only /dev/sdb1: keine Berechtigung ( no privilege )
failed to mount dev/sdb1:keine Berechtigung ( no privilege )
please check /dev/sdb1: and the ntfs-3g binary permissions and the mounting user ID. More explanation ist provided at http://tuxera.com/community/ntfs-3g/faq/#unprivileged.
error message:
error opening read-only '/dev/sdb1': keine Berechtigung ( no permission or privilege in english I guess )
failed to mount '/dev/sdb1': keine Berechtigung
please check '/dev/sdb1' and the ntfs-3g binary permissions and the mounting user ID
Thanks for your advice.
I solved that prob formatting the hd in ext4 format, because I don t need access to the hd from a windows computer. After that I could mount the hd.
