Great find, great video, easy to follow with meticulous detail – consequently very long at 2 hours 14 minutes. A very useful reference work indeed.
Had to smile during the intro when he emphasises that “truly one of the most magical things about AntiX Linux including all these customisations is that if I open up Htop it shows I’m using 274MiB RAM – that is truly phenomenal…!”
What would STÆMPUNK TV and the subscribers make of my AntiX22 setup with a proper LXDE desktop and Htop showing 160MiB – that’s not a typo! - now that is truly phenomenal…!” He is using 71% more RAM which IMHO is about par for the course for those setups with AntiX22+WM+FM+Panel.
As ever; I do not make up numbers so I backup what I post… https://imgur.com/a/ULnLYB5 or https://i.imgur.com/iSntsSD.mp4 https://imgur.com/a/FsFSyWj Supersonic https://i.imgur.com/MK4EbyM.mp4
His only request for AntiX devs is that he needs a rubbish bin…
Hey dude; just install LXDE which has PcmanFM complete with rubbish bin and it runs faster too – simples…!
Right at the end where he creates a snapshot iso image of his system and then makes a Live-USB – running live he notes that Inkscape is missing.
With my own customized snapshot I have no such issues so when I installed my Hp G60 laptop snapshot AntiX22 LXDE onto my Dell i7 8GiB laptop everything was perfect – all my folders, files and Apps including Gimp, Drawing, OpenShot Video Editor, SimpleScreenRecorder, hardinfo, etc etc.
Nevertheless STÆMPUNK makes an excellent professional video tutorial – top marks
Thanks Beachboy but that Dude is way ahead of my meagre capabilities. He is so professional and his videos are superb making my videos so amateurish. I am sure he would not be interested in this old fool's setup.
If you are registered on YT or other Social Media platforms you could forward my video and image links on our LQ.
I do not register with any Social Media….
My Pixel phone has GrapheneOS stock installation with naff all else.
Ps – are you near to my old playground – the Devil’s Staircase or campsite at Disserth..?
