[SOLVED]System freezes (ACPI errors)

I've been trying to figure out why my laptop freezes several times a day.
So far I've had good help in the MX-forums, and we have made some headway.

https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=56969

Still the problem of freezing persists despite managing to set up Nvidia correctly.
Code:
$ optirun inxi -Gx
Graphics: Device-1: Intel HD Graphics 630 vendor: CLEVO/KAPOK driver: i915 v: kernel
           bus ID: 00:02.0
Device-2: NVIDIA GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mobile] vendor: CLEVO/KAPOK
           driver: nvidia v: 440.59 bus ID: 01:00.0
           Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.4 driver: modesetting unloaded: fbdev,vesa
           resolution: 1680x1050~60Hz
           OpenGL: renderer: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 v: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 440.59
           direct render: Yes

I figured I'd try to get more eyeballs on the problem by posting it here too.

Earlier I've had the laptop in for a repair of a harddrive,
I suspect that there may be some issue with the BIOS motherboard.
But techsupport felt that what was necessary was a new drive and an updated BIOS.
I told them there was a problem with ACPI, but they didn't listen.
As a result windows can't be installed without UEFI enabled it seems,
so no dualboot for me as of right now.
I feel the freezing and that issue is connected, but I have no way of knowing.

Here is the current system specs.

I honestly don't know what else to include, since I don't know what is wrong.

Edit:
When it froze this time, I first waited until the music stopped.
It ran as far as the youtube buffer had filled up, which tells me that the soundcard plays what it has available.
But it doesn't download anymore because the freeze has made firefox unable to work in the background.
I used Alt-SysRq-O to stop the computer, which worked; so at least something works in the background.
Next time I will try Alt-SysRq-B and later I might see if there is some other command that makes sense.
Maybe one that kills processes.

The end conclution was that Firefox hogging tons of space with saving sessions was to blame for the crashes.
If this actually turns out to be the case I dunno, time will tell.
Marking as solved regardless.
