AIX syslog options to Supresses the "Message forwarded from <log_host_name>: " string
I ran "/usr/sbin/syslogd -n" and stopsrc and startsrc the syslogd to Suppresses the "Message forwarded from <log_host_name>: " string added to the beginning of the syslog message that is forwarded to a remote log host.
But My message at remote host is getting with "Message forwarded from <log_host_name>: " string.
Without stopsrc and startsrc syslogd ,after running the command "/usr/sbin/syslogd -n".I am not getting any messages at remote host even though I am generating login failure events.
Here at the time of running "/usr/sbin/syslogd -n" command , i got "0821-600 /usr/sbin/syslogd: continuing without SRC support" mesaage.
How can I suppress the "Message forwarded from <log_host_name>: " string at remote host?
My AIX versions are 5.3,6.1
Please help me.
