TheSSS setting up HTTPS

TheSSS seems to work nicely on a small old netbook. Really great.
How can I set it up to serve HTTPS pages?
(It does not seem to work natively after the installation).

Hi,

TheSSS supports the "https" protocol out of the box, so I do not understand your question.

Thanks, I thought so.
http://192.168.1.15/test.html
gets served
https://192.168.1.15/test.html
gives me the not secure and invalid certificate warning which takes me back to http.
Do I need to install a certificate?

No, you don't (especially for private networks). For your public websites (domains) you can use free solutions such as, for example, Cloudflare
https://www.cloudflare.com/ssl/
