4MLinux 23.3 ISO does not boot, USB-stick does not boot

Hi,
yesterday I downloaded latest 4M linux 23.3
The CD or USB-stick I create do not boot.

There is no booting problem with CDs/ DVDs or USB-Stick from
- Slitaz
- Mint
- MX 17
- Opensuse
- PointLinux

and many more, that I tried in the past weeks.

Do you have an idea to help?

Regards
Karl

Hi and welcome to LQ & 4MLinux!

1) What tool did you use to prepare your live USB ?
2) What do you mean by "no booting" (nothing happens, stops suddenly, something else ?)
3) How much RAM do you have ?

.

Hi zk1234,
when I try to boot from internal CD-drive of my laptop,
- the drive begins to spin
- no output to the screen
- after a short while, booting switches to internal hd.

when I try to boot from USB-stick, the message "no configuration file" appears
and booting switches to internal hd

I tried for the USB
- Unetbootin
- Rufus
- Etcher
- Linux Mint USB Maker
- MX-17 live-USB Maker
- dd
- MX-17 dd live-USB
- Windows32USBcreator

My Laptop is 64bit and has 4GB of RAM

Regards
Karl

4MLinux 24.0 does not boot either

Hi,
the image of 4MLinux on linuxtracker has same problem:
no bootable CD or USB-Stick possible.

The best would be, you check all available images.
Otherwise many persons interested in 4MLinux will give up frustrated.

Regards
Karl

4MLinux 24.0 boots (and has always booted) OK. Official download website:
http://4mlinux.com/agag/index.php?page=download
I do not track unofficial sources.

I've downloaded 4MLinux 24.0 using the linuxtracker torrent. It's OK. No problem to boot.
Please note that the minimum requirement is 1024 MB of RAM.
