Setting up PPP

I now have FreeBSD 5.3 on my Compaq Deskpro EN. I am using an External USR V.92 Modem.
I have it plugged into serial port A, can I assume that corresponds to COMM1 (cuaa0, FreeBSD)?
I was wondering if there is some way I can find out via CLI, what port my external modem is on.?
Many Thanks from a Newbie.

Yes. Like pretty much all devices in BSD, the first one is 0, the second is 1, third is 2 and so forth.
