OpenBSD 7.5 is released.

Release post:
https://www.openbsd.org/75.html

Upgrading requires no configuration changes and/or file deletions this time, it seems:
https://www.openbsd.org/faq/upgrade75.html

Note that the first syspatch - previously on 7.3 and 7.4 - is already there, so after upgrading your system and all packages, you might want to run syspatch as well:

Enjoy.

edit: it’s here!

Random finding: After the upgrade, the unbound configuration directory had the wrong permissions, so unbound failed to run properly. Fix: doas chown -R _unbound:_unbound /var/unbound.

Unattended upgrade, from # sysupgrade to being signed back into Xfce desktop, in 7 min, on a Raspberry Pi 4 with a speedy enough internet connection. I didn’t time the # pkg_add -u, it took longer, but that’s with some fairly hefty Xfce, Firefox, arduino and arduino-esp32 updates, along with a few other packages. I’d guess under 1/2 hour in total. Very nice.

Syspatch 002: If you wanted to install OpenBSD on Alpha, the install media are less broken now.
