How to configure PPPoE connection on freebsd?

I followed this,it's not working.
set device PPPoE:xl1

How to replace xl1? Is it with eth0 or msk0?
What is tun?
What is HISADDR,Phase,command?

Each line of ppp.conf is explained, as you had asked about HISADDR, phase, ...etc
