Thunderbird 90% header, 10% message

Hi,
NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION_ID="22.04"
VERSION="22.04.3 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish)"
VERSION_CODENAME=jammy
ID=ubuntu

Thunderbird 115.3.1 (64-bit)

My problem is that the author and title of incoming emails takes up most of the screen. The body text of any individual mail is limited to one line, maybe two.

Every single bit of googled advice has failed to change this situation.

I wish to have the incoming mail, in the inbox, (although this problem appears in all folders), showing only two mails, not six. This would allow me to read the message at least.

The only way of doing this at the moment, is to copy all, and paste into a Libreoffice document, read it and then delete it, move on to copy the next.

I am not alone with this problem but, so far, have seen no workable answers.

Thanks.

Regards

Chris

You should be able to drag the top of the preview pane (where the body text is displayed) up to view more of the email.
Alternatively, double-clicking on an email in the message list will (should) open the email in a new tab taking up the entire thunderbird window.
