Not able to enable I2C_MPC Driver in menuconfig


Hello!

I'm trying to enable the I2C_MPC driver in order to implement an external rtc on an imx6 solo x chip.

I'm using yocto and fsl-bsp to build this embedded linux OS.

The kernel I'm using is 4.14.98.

When I use menuconfig and search this driver, it shows up on the search disabled (I2C_MPC=n). I click 1 to view the driver and to toggle, however, it takes me to the general "I2C Hardware Bus Support" selection not the driver itself. See pictures below for more clarity:
