Post Issues with Libreoffice

I am encountering an issue while creating a PDF form in LibreOffice. In edit mode as ODT, the radio buttons and checkboxes are visible and functional. However, after exporting the document as a PDF, these elements do not respond. I am using Linux Mint with LibreOffice version 7.3.7.2 and have enabled dark mode on my system. How can I rectify this problem? Additionally, I would like to know how to switch specific software, like LibreOffice, to light mode while keeping the rest of my system in dark mode. Thanks and hopefully somebody will provide me resolutions.

You should check 'Create PDF form' option when exporting to PDF. As for the dark mode, you can disable it in LibreOffice options under Application Colours, only I thought it was added fairly recently - 7.5 or 7.6.

In my experience, Libreoffice cannot edit a *.pdf.

My workaround was to save as *.odt, so, if I needed to revise the *.pdf, I could edit the *.odt and re-export it.

The issue persists where the radio buttons and checkboxes are, and 'Create PDF form' is checked by default when extracting my PDF form. Everything else seems to be functioning properly. Additionally, I have changed my system theme to light mode.

I intend to create a PDF form using LibreOffice Writer. However, I am facing two specific issues after generating the PDF: the radio buttons and checkboxes are not functioning as expected.

If you open the exported pdf with a browser, does it still have the same issues? Wondering if the issue is the export, or LO's handling of pdf forms...

Works for me. But my LO is up to date - 7.6.2, maybe you should try upgrading. Or maybe it is the software you are using to view pdfs e.g. in okular forms have to be enabled.

I tried with flatpak latest update also, but it doesn't work. What might be the issuse? I hardly try to create a form but due to this issue i am on hold.

If I open a PDF form in writer it is opened in edit mode and I can not enter anything in text boxes or select check boxes etc as a form. If I open the form in Firefox or a PDF viewer it works as expected. I don't think you can fill out the form in writer itself but need to use a viewer.
