Check your fonts folder for "Urdu Naksh AsiaType" fonts. THey have the arabic numerals in them. You can then use the Insert Menu in OpenOffice.org and select "special character" to insert these

Hope these helps...

Ok. Let's resolve this issue.

Although we call it "Arabic" numbers, it is what we see as "English" numbers. Numbers such as you see in Arabic books and other imprints are referred to as "Indic" or "Hindi."

With this matter settled, we move on to the next issue--how to do it in openoffice.

Go to Tools/Options/Language Settings/Complex text layout

From the drop-down menu for numerals, choose "Hindi"

Hit ok.

You are done.

Good luck
