Greeting to all and more to Jeremy for his great effort, now LQ has turned six, what a great birthday!! Well, I have been trying to post a thread but I seem not to find the button for posting new thread. I am using Mandriva 2006 and i want to use it as a bandwidth manager to do bandwidth limiting. Can someone help me to find a way out or suggest to me any other way i can go about this or a link that will give me the clue to do it. The reason I need it is that some host in my Lan are using more bandwidth than the others there by slowing down the entire network speed. Is there a way out with mandriva 2006 or any other solution other than the one that will take money from my desk. I will greatly I appreciate. Thanks
I haven't made many posts here but I have LinuxQuestions as a search in Firefox when I get stuck.
Congrats and thanks for all the help you've given me.

I don't post very much, as all of the question I have already seem to be answered - and for that, I thank you for your fantastic members and a very easy system to use. Happy birthday!

Thanks, mikieboy, for you help. I can now post my thread. Next time i will adhere to your advice on "If at first you don't succeed, have a beer. (You might not be more successful afterwards but at least you won't be as bothered.)" I appreciate. But do you have idea of how I can get my problem of bandwidth limiting solved?
not the biggest poster, more of the reader on this forum finding all kinds of nifty tricks. Have to say big thanks to the LQ! Happy Birthday! Without this wonderful community I be still searching for my answers! Happy helpful community, hope we stay that way! Happy Birthday once again LQ!!!!!
I have been happy to use linuxquestions.org . I am not sure if I know how to use winblows anymore. I know sometimes I have to, but it is not my favorite thing to do.
The funny thing is, a lot of users who have been here for a long time like to say things like Google it before asking questions. And the funny thing is %70 of all my problems that I google come here.
You must be doing something right. Happy Birthday and thanks to all the people who make this happen.
I would just like to say thanks. This site has been a great help to me. From working on linux clusters at my office to playing games on my slackware box at home, this site has almost invariably answered my questions or guided me to the solutions. Thanks Jeremy!
