Happy Birthday To Me

I never thought I would get this old (69). Never thought it would take so long for Linux to take over the desktop world. I outlived my parents (my mother died in January of covid-19), I just had my first 5-year anniversary (after many tries). I've been using Linux on and off since about 2002, and it's currently the only operating system(s) I use, has been since 2015. I left mintCast podcast back in April, but I'm still on Full Circle Weekly News (by myself) and Distrohoppers' Digest (with Tony Hughes and Dale Miracle, and we get Josh Hawk as a guest on the next episode).
When I was in high school, there weren't even pocket calculators until my senior year (Texas Instruments, $250 in 1970 dollars). I've seen a lot happen. Linux has taken over everything BUT userspace, and that is where I think it most belongs.
Oh well. I'm sure my life insurance will be cashed in by the time we see the local school district using Mint or Fedora.
