I've been toying with other distros, much as I often do, and realized that I really liked the Xfce terminal. It's pretty sexy!

What I really liked was that it was transparent. It didn't actually have any major features that differentiated it with other terminal emulators - I just liked the transparency.

I hadn't ever bothered to try to use transparency in Lubuntu and, much to my surprise, my WM doesn't allow compositing. (This was conveyed to me by Xfce's terminal that...

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install compton
2. Open /home/<user>/.config/compton.conf, create one if it doesnot exist. Put these in
Code:
# Shadow
shadow = true;			# Enabled
