Kernel Patch for Wacom Tablet Crashes System

If you have a computer that freezes when you touch your Wacom tablet when you touch it, you will need to install a kernel patch. This should work on any version of linux.
Requirements:
1. Computer running any version of linux
2. A Wacom tablet that crashes linux when used
3. Working internet to get source code of linux and patch
4. Willingness to spend 1 day to get it to work
5. Knowledge of the command line
6. Root access

A few days ago I had a heart-stopping moment on my main linux box running Ubuntu 12.04. I had just deleted two links from my desktop when suddenly I discovered that none of the remaining links on the desktop were working. Worse, clicking on any one of them them produced an error box saying the linked file no longer existed. I actually broke out in a sweat. mint14 screensaver crash

whenever pooter goes into screensaver mode it times out and goes to a black screen and eventually crashes
get this on the screen
[21.254193][drm:drm_crtc_helper_set_config] error failed to set mode on [crtc:10]

everything is locked up and need to power down to reboot.
sorry have not been able to find error in logs...where would i look?

...losing my mind...wanted to post this in forums but in a rush and could not find what i needed...

Stragest BugZ Part 1

Before I forget, I want to jot some notes on the screwiest bugs I've seen.

First, openSUSE.

I'm using version 11.4, but it's very likely that some of these misfeatures are still present in 12.1 though the newer kde seems to behave a bit better. Better, at least when JAWS appears. The newer KDE it may self correct better but you may well still see the effect for an instant even so.
