Back to Illinois and it sucks big time.

Hi,

I've been back 7 weeks and the Governor dictator here in Illinois is power hungry. We were allowed to eat out this past week but under a tent.

My golf here has been limited and I am now getting used too grass under the ball. In Florida there is no real grass in the fairways and it does take some time for me to adjust picking the ball without blading it.

It's getting to where I may just make Florida my permanent residency with the way this states political...

Hi,

It has been nice here in Florida until this damn covid-19 shutdown. Social distancing and stay in place sucks but I do not need to get that damn bug.

We can still play golf since our course has been closed to the public. We use our own golf carts. We no longer play outside courses since those have been closed to the public. It's been real hot the last few days so we start early to beat the heat.

We plan to leave on 4-25 early Saturday morning and drive...

Florida vs Illinois winter

Hi,

I made it back to Florida. Missed the first snow back in Illinois by one day. First week here was in the 90's and now it has settled back a bit to the mid 70's and high 80. Love the warmth!

First thing back, I had to replace my five year old Golf cart batteries set (4 x 12VDC). Trojan T-1275 at $153/ea plus 96 pounds each. I would have the install done but earliest time to get on schedule was Nov 19, 2019. I need my cart for more than just Golf. We use it to transport...

Florida visit slowly coming to an end.

Hi,

It has been nice in the land of the sun. Playing golf in the middle of Midwest winters is a big plus. My game has shown some improvement on the short grass here. Midwest grass is a lot easier to hit off of than the Bermuda that is cut short here in Florida.

With all my physical limits it has been a work in progress. Since I have in the past 5 spinal surgeries that do require me to use a modified single plane swing so a I can control the club head and speed. My handicap...

Florida, Land of the sun!

Hi,

It's been nice here in Florida until the last few weeks. Rainy and chilly. Been playing golf daily, problems with some injuries that I had to work out. Game is solid when I keep to my rhythm and not over speed or try to kill the ball.

My winter home here has required some work. I told my wife that I did not come here to have continued work on the house but I am to cheap to hire most things required.

Family & fiends are showing up for the next two weeks...
