("DOS") RAM issue

Posted 06-10-2009 at 07:51 AM by jsantosh_d

HI,
while installing the REDhat linux in Dell's optiples GX1 model, i am getting the below given message.....

"SYSLINUX 1.52 2001-02-07 Copyright (C) 1994-2001 H. Peter Anvin
It appears your computer has less than 512K of low ("DOS") RAM. Linux
needs at least this amount to boot. If you get this message in error,
hold down the Ctrl key while booting, and I will take your word for it.
Boot failed"

if i press the Control key ,it proceed the installation,, after copying all the 3 cd ,when it prompts to reboot the system, and the system nevercame back to further operation,,

Regards,
