First question to Debian social group
I decided to pursue the subject brought up by zrong in keep /etc/hosts up to date (dhcp) regarding 127.0.1.1 being Debian specific to the Debian social group.

Well, it didn't.
I ended up (sort of) answering my own question, maybe a little too soon, and certainly too loosely and imprecise as well.
I intend to get back to them ASAP.
