When can we expect 14.2?

We should start making bets :D

When do you think it will come? My guess is, when ready :D

rworkman 05-01-2016 02:40 PM

Saturday, give or take two or three days.

When Pat and the Team think it's ready.

I just switched to Slackware this month after testing 14.1 for a little while in a VM. My plan was to wait for 14.2 before switching the host machine, but I liked it so much I decided I didn't want to wait. So I installed current and it's been great. Bottom line, it doesn't matter much to me, because current is already really solid. I'm calling this story "Dr. StrangeLinux or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Slackware."

To answer the question, I have no idea.

I know! I am an acknowledged *psychotic, and I am never wrong about these things!

But I will not say it at this time!

I'll announce it to the world after the fact!

*(Or is that psychic? I can see the future clearly, but my memory isn't so good!)

Ditto.
As I've said elsewhere, Saturday, 7 May 2016, will be exactly 2-1/2 years since the release of 14.1.

Didier Spaier 05-01-2016 03:37 PM

Next week. This prediction may be still valid next week.

The next release shalt arriveth when the moon doeth waxeth in the heavens signaling the dawn of the next age of Slack. There shalt be a sign in the stars when the tail of the highest star shalt burn brightest on day of the seventh sun, and ye shall see great wonders, and tongues shalt marvel at this. Hail Bob.

Since everyone already gave the funny-but-true answers :-) I'm going to put on serious-pants and make an actual guess: Towards the end of July.

astrogeek 05-01-2016 06:23 PM

What funny answers?

The day after next, but not before the previous 2 days before the first full moon - assuming the Jade Monkey has been found.
