Subliminal Slackware advertising in the Opera desktop team blog

As many of you know I work at Opera and I also write many of our Desktop team blog posts.

I managed to get some Subliminal Slackware advertising in today's blog post.

So far nobody has commented on it but I hope the reference burns right into their unconscious! :P

great shot! ;)

Thanks. I had considered another image, which whilst fun, would not have allowed me to advertise Slackware. ;)

I'm all in favour of elegant simplicity, but only one wheel?

ReaperX7 02-20-2015 06:54 AM

Slackware's always "perfectly balanced"! ;-)

I like my *cycles, like my distros, stripped back to the bare essentials. The more layers of complexity you add (gears, brakes, dependency management), the more things to go wrong! :P

cwizardone 02-20-2015 08:21 AM

Nicely done!
:hattip:

All I see is a screen shot that looks like it came from a windows OS :P

ruario 02-20-2015 08:56 AM

It did. My colleague took the screen shot.

Ah! So that is you on the cycle?

ruario 02-20-2015 10:44 AM

Yep

bobzilla 02-20-2015 12:45 PM

Nice one. Unicycle is a great touch. :)

/OT can opera sync bookmarks between desktop and phone like firefox used to.

ruario 02-20-2015 03:44 PM

Yes but not in the stable version (27). Opera 28 beta for both, has syncing of bookmarks.

For some reason I am feeling the need to buy a Slackware shirt and a uni-cycle...
