strange connection problem

hi again
I`m having a connection problem that i don`t know if i can explain ?

for some time now when i`m connected ,everytime i want to go to a site (any site) ,sometimes i`m inside linuxquestions.org (connected) reading or writting something, i get the usual message:
www.linuxquestions.org could not be found . please check the name and try again . this morning i tried several times ( after being connected ) to acess pages and i simply couldn`t. right now i`m having 0.1 (max. 8.0kb /sec) rate a have a low flat line on kppp statistics , can you tell me please if this could be a modem problem ? i query the modem and it was alright . i also phoned my provider assistence and they told me to do a ping ( for some reason they refused to help afterwards saying they don`t give linux assistence) this is the output taken now ( part of it )

PING 200.231.204.187 (200.231.204.187): 56 octets data

i don't know if i have got what you mean exactly or not :D
anway,try these steps:
make sure that's /etc/resolv.conf is configured correctly
usually:
nameserver DNS-IP-# //get it from your isp, don't tell them that you are using linux,if they ask about the os,you know how to behave ;) just ask them about the ip of the DNS of the isp.

-if you are using konqueror with kde3 it has some problem like that, i don't rem the error message,it just needs from you to press on the hyper-text link more than 2-3 times to follows it.
