[SOLVED] Update problems

Is mageia.jameswhitby.net offline? My attempts to update have been fruitless for the past three days.

The links runs in a browser (at least(?)) here.

Maybe searching more specifics:
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_5_..._from_Mageia_4
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Main_Page

:)

I can dig it, traceroute it, whois it, and ping it, but, when I run urpmi --auto-update, it fails with an rsync error 10. When I open the Mageia Control Center (drakconf) and attempt to update using the GUI tools, it also errors out.

When I installed Mageia, Mageia selected it as my repo and it's worked for years (three, I think--Mageia's been pretty rock-solid).

Guess I have to learn how to change repos in Mageia so I can try another mirror, if nothing else, for testing purposes.

And thanks for looking into this. I do appreciate it.

Cool.

I think I've looked at Mageia a while ago now, my first thought was change the repos too?

I felt (o.O) silly posting you those links, as your better at this stuff than me! :D

Fooled you!

Joking aside, thanks for the compliment.

When it comes to some things, I know quite a bit. When it comes to others, not so much. I'm pretty good at desktop Linux and I've done a bit of distro-hopping. I know just a little about Linux in the enterprise, and that little bit tends to be concentrated in very specific areas.

Regex makes my brain hurt.

I'll report back when I have subjugated Mageia to my will.

The repo is back up and running without my doing anything. Therefore I'm guessing it was server problems of some sort.

That's cool. If it's still working, would you mark this thread as "SOLVED?" Thanks! :)

Regards...
