Xfce users please help
 

Dear all,
I have installed the latest opensuse 12.2 with the xfce.
The problem is that half of the windows are cut in middle without having a scroll bar to scroll down and see the rest.

Two typical examples are shown here:

The schreenshots show exactly how the window looks like in the laptop. They are cut.

What should I do to fix that. What do you suggest me? Should I install graphics drivers, reinstall Xfce, throw laptop out of window?

You might try maximizing your Opera window. Sometimes that helps when I have a window that is larger than the screen. Maximizing the window will actually reduce the size of the window to fit the screen.

Or just grab the upper left corner of the window and shrink it.

This laptop have just the LCD under Displays in YaST?

I ran into a similar issue on OpenSUSE 11.4
I just changed resolution a couple of times and rebooted. It seemed to help at that time, when it didn't help, I'd log out of the GUI (to the login screen) and open a new console with Ctrl+Alt+F1 and login as my usual self and issue this command:
then Ctrl+Alt+F7 to login back in graphically and see if the issue persists.

Another method of testing is to create a new user on the System and login as that user and see if the issue persists. ;)

Moving .config has never been an issue, but I must warn you, your panels will be reset to default. but this is NOT an issue since it is a new install.

I have found the problem but the workaround is very weird . I have indeed removed .config and the new session popped up. Now all the problems are fixed but my fonts are too small to be visible for my eyes.

The problem was created from Control Panel->Appearance -> (third tab) -> where I had increaded the base font.

IS there any other way to increase the size of everything (meaning size of taskbars, font size in window title-bars, font size in any window) in a way that will xfce like it?
