X11 - how to revert to a previous version

I did an update of the X11 server a few days ago, and now some of my applications are not working anymore (IDL and ENVI from ITTVIS, if this is of interest to anyone). I get a segmentation fault when trying to display some data (images). Except for this, everything else seems to be working well... Build Date: 08 April 2007 Build ID: xorg-x11-server 1.1.1-47.8.fc6 Before the update, it was: Build Date: 28 February 2007 Build ID: xorg-x11-server 1.1.1-47.7.fc6 Is there a way to revert to the previous version? ... please keep in mind that I am a newbie in the Linux world... I am running fedora core 6, linux kernel: 2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 Thanks in advance, Jean |
simply reinstall the 1.1.1-47.7.fc6 packages

you can use this option with rpm --oldpackage
this will upgrade to an older version of the package |
