Sad story - phpNuke
 

I suffer from depression (who cares, right?) and I've just gone through a pretty bad bout of it lately until this afternoon when I decided to try phpNuke for the very first time. I got all excited, downloaded it, installed it, spent a great deal of time customizing it and thought I had the world by the b*lls until I discovered that there is no internal way to restore the database which means if the server ever goes down, I'm fried.

I went to a nuke board and discovered that a lot of people were having problems restoring using phpMyAdmin which is one of the things I had tried (and always got errors). Next, I looked for a module to handle restores but of the two I saw on the nuke site, one was in in Japanese (and beta) and the other one I tried like heck and could'nt even download (apparently the site has vanished).

So, I guess my question/point is, is this going to be just another one of those big let-downs where I've wasted my time getting excited over nothing or is there actually hope out there for me?
