Red Hat 9.0 - Screen problems

When I try and play games like tuxracer, or watch a movie, fullscreen, the screen get "scrambeled" - It`s impossible to anything of what`s going on. I guess I could try and configure XFree86, but I don`t wanna risk messing up my x-server. Red Hat recognises(?) my videocard. What can I do to fix this? It would be nice to watch movies using full screen...

Hmmm... did you install the nvidia drivers??

Tuxracer needs hardware acceleration to work. The vesa drivers are good enough most things but acceleration is off. Mplayer won't use the xv driver (good fullscreen) unless the nvidia drivers are installed also.

Granted... this all assumes you have an nvidia card.

Good Luck

I've got a ATI Mobility M9 Radeon 9000 card. I searched www.ati.com for drivers, but they only offer drivers for Microsoft Windows. But as I mentioned in my first post, redhat recognises my ATI card, so doesn't that mean that the drivers are installed correctly?
Another thing I just remembered: Redhat says that my monitor model is unknown. During installation I just selected the Generic Laptop Display (or something like that) with the correct resolution (1400x1050).
