need Linux kernel .uimg for ARM Chromebook xe303c12 but can't compile myself.
Hi,
I have a Samsung Chromebook XE303C12 which uses an ARM processor with U-boot. i am currently running it on a 2012 linux kernel as that was the only one i could find already compiled as a .uimg which is a legacy format that my U-boot needs. i am not currently in possession of any other Linux computers to compile a kernel on, nor do I have the skills to trust myself doing it anyway, so if anyone else would be able to do it for me then i would be very much obliged. regards, Eric. PS. here is a page which describes how to do it for my specific device, only i do not fully understand it: http://linux-exynos.org/wiki/Samsung...stalling_Linux |
That page needs your chromebook to do it, and seems to be for later models. It's definitely not for the faint hearted.
Here (Ireland)there are quite a few independent mobile phone repair shops. I needed my phone rooted at one stage, (I've only one arm useful)and after ringing a few found one willing to do it. You might try your luck with these guys. I wouldn't hold your breadth waiting for someone to do it. |
yea, well i've got another computer anyway so the chromebook is just sitting on a shelf at the moment, i dont actually need it, I'm just wanting to get it running again but its not worth spending the money on. (it's probably only worth £20 at the most itself...)

Why don't you get yopur $20 worth out of it, then and try the instructions. If you brick it, you can bin it and laugh.
