What is the best and lightest graphical version to install on this machine to replace XP? Where the User is not familiar with Linux.
Thank you for any info on this subject.

I would probably lean towards something like MX15. While not the absolute lightest, it's designed to be lightweight for older, slower computers, but still easy to use.

Either MX-15 or antiX-16 should work well on the Acer One.
