Coby MP-C582 MP3 player
I bought a Coby MP-C582 MP3 player on the Bay of e because I liked my old Coby MP3 player so much and haven't liked any of the others I have bought since the original's flashram failed.
Some people on eBay sell the MP-C582 (and other Coby MP3 players) that have an integrated rechargeable battery. (My old Coby used a AAA.) It was brand new, still in its clamshell - but the battery wouldn't take a charge. I wasn't surprised as it is about 10 years old. Coby discontinued its MP3 players years ago, doesn't support them anymore. The seller automatically issued a call tag so I expect I'll get my $15 back. I haven't seen a review of these anywhere, and I won't be able to leave one on eBay and get a refund, so I'm posting here as a warning to others. |
I have good luck with the water proof cheapo chinese mp3 players on my motorcycle trips from ebay.
But usb charge only. But positive note is price was under 7 bucks. Battery is good for about 4 hours. I keep a usb charge port wired into my motorcycle harness. It is a small inverter type of thing. I get 110v plug on it also. |

Thanks. Does it require outboard memory? I used to go on long trips, and I use rechargeable batteries, so I carry extras. And I use it as portable memory when I drop by public computers that have access to journals and subscriptions that I don't. The original Coby was perfect. I paid $9 for it at Staples (marketed for business-persons to record their important thoughts). The many imitators are junk. I don't know why they can't get it right. |

Does not require outboard memory and no. There is no sd slot. It has phone card slot though. and a usb port. Everything has gone up on price online. Even motorcycles and parts. Good luck finding what you want at the price you paid with new stuff. |
