Auto Update of LibreOffice?
I was surprised to see a banner this morning, opening up libreoffice - it said I was running version 7.3 for the very first time, and would I like to see what was new in the package?
I have opened the program many times since doing anything to update, install or anything. And this is Slackware 15.0. I don't remember what version I installed when I installed it. The the statement on the banner could not be true, right? |
When I first installed LibreOffice in Slackware 15.0 from slackbuilds.org I got version 7.3.4.2 back then year 2022. There are two different SlackBuild from slackbuilds.org. One script (libreoffice) repackages the official binary distribution. The other script, which I used (LibreOffice) builds the software from source.
At the time of this writing both versions from slackbuilds.org are now 24.2.something. So I would guess that your libreoffice has not been updated since you installed it. Maybe you have started with a new user or cleaned up some files in your home directory? regards Henrik |
